 Schrade Old Timer Cutlery
Schrade Old Timer knives have a tradition that dates back to the founding of Imperial Schrade in 1904. Manufactured in Ellenville, NY and made famous as being a workingman's brand, Schrade produced affordable, well made hunting and pocket knives famous for their carbon steel (often 1095 carbon steel).
In 1959 the Old Timer brand was started with the introduction of a bone handled Barlow. From these humble beginnings a famous line of sporting and daily carry cutlery was born and became an American legend. At one time you couldn't walk into a hardware store, feed mill, or variety store in the heartland without seeing this iconic brand at the checkout counter. Carried for years and sharpened and resharpened over and over, many Old Timer knives were handed down from one generation to the next.
Unfortunately, the Schrade/Old Timer Cutlery brand hit hard times and the US manufacturing operations closed. Production is now offshore (China) but Old Timer continues to produce value priced cutlery that is extremely sharp and well made at a great price. A limited lifetime warranty covers all cutlery against manufacturing defects for the original purchaser for life.
